Red Tide Retrievers is offering whelping/puppy care services to a limited number of pre-approved litters each year that do not coincide with our planned litters.

Many dog owners may want to breed their bitch, but do not have the facilities, time, or experience to give the litter the best possible start that we all want for our puppies.  That's where we come in. The litters whelped here at RTR will receive the same excellent start that all Red Tide puppies receive from birth until they are in the hands of their new owners at 8 weeks of age.

The puppies will be whelped and raised in our home in a room set up and designed specifically for whelping and raising puppies. This nursery provides a safe, climate controlled, quiet environment for mom and puppies. We also have a designated outdoor area for our mamas and litters; safety is our top priority. Our goal is to provide a home away from home to your dog for the duration of their stay here as a part of the Red Tide household.

We have custom whelping service options to choose from.

Whelping Puppies Only
This covers only the delivery/whelping of the puppies. We can travel to you for this option, or you may use our facility. ​

Whelping Puppies + 1 week stay
We whelp the litter for you and they stay at our facility for one week and receive around the clock care. Per requests, we will take them to any vet appointments (dew claw removal, wellness checks, etc) for a vet trip charge.

Whelping Puppies + 2 week stay

Whelping Puppies + Litter Package
We whelp the litter for you and they stay at our facility until they are placed with their owners. This covers all vet visits (added vet trip charges apply), deworming and vaccine protocols (paid for by the litter owner), puppy socialization, and much more. If needed, we will help with advertising and homing puppies. Puppy pick up day may be hosted at Red Tide Retrievers, per request. 

What to bring when dropping your bitch off:
Proof of current vaccinations
Food that she is currently eating - enough for her stay
Supplements and/or medicine for your bitch
​Personal items you would like your dog to have during their stay (bedding, etc)
