The litters whelped here at RTR will receive the same excellent start that all Red Tide puppies receive from birth until they are in the hands of their new owners at 8 weeks of age.
The puppies will be whelped and raised in our whelping barn built and designed specifically for whelping and raising puppies. This nursery provides a safe, climate controlled, quiet environment for mom and puppies. We also have a designated outdoor area for our mamas and litters; safety is our top priority. Our goal is to provide a home away from home to your dog for the duration of their stay here as a part of the Red Tide pack.
These services are provided per our availability and comfort level. We may be unable or unwilling to take on certain situations, but we would love to assist you if we can.
We have custom whelping service options to choose from.
Basic Whelping ONLY:
$1000 flat fee for supervised delivery
This includes a one week pre-delivery stay at our facility, supervised delivery of the litter, and care for the mother and pups 24 hours post-delivery.
Basic whelping PLUS:
$500 is added to the basic whelping package if any complications arise where the dam must get a c-section or a puppy needs intensive care such as tube feeding, etc.
Post Delivery Care Options:
$700 per week for 1-10 puppies; each additional puppy over 10 puppies is an extra $50 a week
(for example: if you have a litter of 13 it is $850 a week, etc)
This includes treating your litter as if they are our own; early neurological stimulation (ENS), deworming, nail clipping, weekly pupdate pictures, puppy culture/our very own socialization regime, nature walks, intro to birds, water (weather permitting), other dogs, different terrains, crates, car rides, loud noises, potty training, gunfire from a distance and much more. This price also INCLUDES vet trips for the puppies – travel expenses will not be added for this service to the weekly price as it is part of expected puppy care.
Pick-up day will be held at RTR unless litter owns plans otherwise.
Extras:
Puppy go home folders and goodie bags can be customized by RTR for an additional price - otherwise, puppy go home folders and goodie bags are the responsibility of the litter owner.
These prices do not include supplies to whelp your puppies; such as milk replacer, food, medical supplies, deworming, veterinarian care, puppy pads, potty pellets, microchips, etc. The price of these supplies are the owner’s responsibility and will be deducted from the owner’s profit portion of the litter.
What to bring when dropping your bitch off:
Proof of current vaccinations
Food that she is currently eating - enough for her stay
Supplements and/or medicine for your bitch (flea/tick/heartworm, etc)
Personal items you would like your dog to have during their stay (bedding, etc)
